Opening Ceremony

Wed, 2.10., 7 pm, Tafelhalle

Our festival opens its doors with a festive opening in the Tafelhalle.

Following the opening, we will present our opening film, the wonderful Talking About Trees, in the presence of the director Suhaib Gasmelbari and the protagonist Ibrahim Hamid Ibrahim Shaddad – both of whom have come to us from Sudan.

Admission is free. However, please get your tickets at the Kulturinformation, Königstr. 93.

Award Ceremony

Tue., 08.10., 7 pm, Caritas-Pirckheimer-Haus (CPH)

There are three prizes to be awarded on this evening.

  • The Audience Award for the most popular film from the Competition and Forum, endowed with 1,000 €.
  • the Open Eyes Youth Jury Award for the film in the school programme that is best suited for human rights education in schools, endowed with 1,000 € (donated by Stabilo International GmbH)
  • the Nuremberg Human Rights Film Award for the best film from the International Competition, awarded by our International Jury and endowed with 2,500 €.

Admission is free. However, please get your tickets at the Kulturinformation.

Daily from 9 to 10 pm from the festival lounge with our festival guests

Concerts and DJs

From 2 to 9 October, we will be presenting great live concerts with local bands and artists in our festival lounge from 10 pm together with the Musikverein Nürnberg. Afterwards, various Radio Z DJs will spin and bring the festival day to a relaxed close.
