SYNOPSIS

Despite his impaired health, Jožka does not lose hope in his fight: one day, the pig fattening plant will disappear from the site of the former Lety concentration camp, where hundreds of Roma died during the Nazi era – including half of his wife’s family.

HAMZE BYTYCI

Hamze Bytyci, media and theater educator, director and performer lives and works in Berlin. He has been studying documentary film at the film school “filmArche” in Berlin since 2014. Through his films and his work as chairman of the “RomaTrial” association, he deals with social and political issues such as deportations from Germany and discrimination against Roma. With his work, such as the “Balkan Onions” film school, he aims to support young, disadvantaged people.
