SYNOPSIS
“It’s my party, and I’ll cry if I want to …” Aljona, who is a lesbian, would prefer to celebrate her birthday alone with her girlfriend but somehow her colleagues and family members have other ideas. And come to think of it, why doesn’t she have a boyfriend yet anyway?
JULIA GRAUBERGER
Julia Grauberger was born in 1981 in Saint-Petersburg. In 1996 she emigrated to Germany with her family. She studied animation at the Film University Babelsberg in Potsdam. Her films are a mixture of feature film, documentary and animation. Julia Grauberger is also known as a front woman of the band “Lila von Grau” and writes soundtracks for films. She lives and works in Berlin.

PHILIPP MEISE
Philipp Meise was born in 1981 in Berlin. In his younger years he gained experience in graphic design and photography and then subsequently studied cinematography at the University of Film and Television “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam-Babelsberg. He lives and works in Berlin as Director of Photography for documentaries and feature films. His focus is on socially critical films.
