
Award Ceremony 2025
We cordially invite you to a small reception and to the award ceremony of the 14th Nuremberg International Human Rights Film Festival (NIHRFF). Three film awards will be presented in the evening: the Nuremberg International Human Rights Film Award, the Open Eyes Youth Jury Award and the Audience Award.
The International Jury will award the Nuremberg International Human Rights Film Prize to a film from the International Competition.
Die Open Eyes Jugendjury vergibt ihren Preis an den Film aus dem Open Eyes Programm, der ihrer Meinung nach am besten für die Menschenrechtsbildung an Schulen geeignet ist. Open Eyes wird unterstützt von Stabilo International.
The evening will be hosted by Nuremberg’s most popular glitter queen Roxy Rüd.
The Award Ceremony will be interpreted into English.

International Jury

Borjana Gaković
Borjana Gaković is a film and media scholar from Berlin. She works as a curator, moderator, editor, lecturer and author in the field of film and cinema culture.

Damien Ounouri
Damien Ounouri is a director and producer from Algiers. His award-winning documentary feature film FIDAÏ screened in Nuremberg, as did his medium-length fiction film KINDIL EL BAHR. With THE LAST QUEEN, he presented his first feature-length film in 2022.

Farahnaz Sharifi
Farahnaz Sharifi is a director, editor and author from Tehran. Many of her internationally recognised works have already been shown in Nuremberg, including her feature film directorial debut MY STOLEN PLANET, which premiered at the 2024 Berlinale.
