The questionable conviction of six young people accused of arson in Moria also went largely unnoticed. Jennifer Mallmann&#8217;s film takes a second look at this situation and focuses on her correspondence with Hassan, one of the convicts. In quiet, precisely framed images, she shows the mechanisms of European compartmentalisation &#8211; a policy that treats people seeking protection like criminals and banishes them to modern
