We are very pleased to be able to offer a very special event in February in cooperation with medico international and the Filmhaus N\u00fcrnberg.On February 20, 2025 at 6:30 pm we will be showing the official Palestinian entry for the 2025 Oscars: FROM GROUND ZERO<\/a>. Afterwards, we look forward to a discussion with producer Rashid Masharawi and Irit Neidhardt (mec film). <\/p>\n\n

FROM GROUND ZERO is a compilation of 22 short films by directors from Gaza. Shot between December 2023 and March 2024, the three- to six-minute short films capture individual perspectives on the current reality of war in Gaza. With a genre mix of feature film, documentary, docu-fiction, animation and experimental cinema, FROM GROUND ZERO presents a variety of stories that reflect the grief, the will to survive, the joy and the hope inherent in life in Gaza. The project was initiated by Rashid Masharawi, an internationally renowned Palestinian filmmaker from Gaza. <\/p>\n\n
