real eyes have been erased by the violence in the Middle East. This Deep Blur video is about the eyewitnesses who don&#8217;t look away, who stay there, with their fainting eyes and their trembling hands, recording the &#8220;sensitive content.&#8221; They are risking their lives, fighting for visibility. She studied feature film directing at the Teheran Film School and Visual Communication at Kamalolmolk University. At the same time she worked as film editor and shot five short films. When she came from Iran to Nuremberg for the International Nuremberg Film Festival of Human Rights in 2009 with her system-critical short film DIE EGGE, she had to apply for political asylum in Germany. From 2010 to 2019, she studied in the Documentary Film and Television Journalism Department at the University of Television and Film Munich. Her graduation film IN THE NAME OF SCHEHERAZADE OR THE FIRST BEERGARDEN IN TEHERAN was screened at NIHRFF in 2021.
