Weekender 2026<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We live in difficult and sobering times, but giving up is not an option. That is why the Weekender of the Nuremberg International Human Rights Film Festival is presenting four international films on the themes of resistance, solidarity, and justice. The next \u201cmajor\u201d festival will follow in October 2027, as scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open Eyes – Human Rights Films for Schools<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

14.10. – 23.10. at Filmhaus N\u00fcrnberg<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In October, Open Eyes \u2013 Human Rights Films for Schools will present eight feature films and documentaries for human rights education in schools, aimed at children and young people of various age groups. The topics range from displacement and asylum to right-wing extremism and racism, as well as the climate crisis, trans identity, and the war in Gaza. All of the films invite viewers to look beyond their own perspectives, empathize with the protagonists, and examine social issues from a new angle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sexual Healing: Available for educational purposes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A film about the right to sexuality<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sexual Healing<\/strong> is available for free throughout the German-speaking countries for educational purposes to individuals affected by the issues addressed in the film, professionals, disability service providers, and educational institutions. Distribution of this German-language version is handled by the International Nuremberg Human Rights Film Festival<\/strong>. HerzensMensch counseling center offers workshops based on the film\u2019s content. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
